Trade Fair Ideas: The Great and The Not-So-Great

When planning for a trade fair, it’s a good idea to pay attention to the seemingly small details.  Case in point:  promotional giveaways.  These are usually given out at trade shows and exhibitions to reinforce a brand or publicize a promotion.  These pencils were made available to an elementary school that wanted to distribute an anti-drug message to students.  But once the pencils were sharpened, the message morphed into something decidedly different:

Sometimes all you need is a blank wall to attract attention. Online billing company Freshbooks made their exhibition stand a blank canvas and hired an artist to create a mural during the run of the show. Visitors were stopped in their tracks, and came back each day to watch the mural take shape, giving Freshbooks sales personnel ample time to talk about their product.
