What’s the difference between a table runner and throw and a tablecloth?
Even though the terms are very similar, these are all different products used for different usage.
The main function of a tablecloth is to be used as a protective cover on a table, mostly from food or drinks. Often tablecloths do not cover the whole table with a few inches of material not being covered on the side of the table.
Table runners are to be used as a decorative piece, added over a table cloth or a table. The purposes of a table runner are very similar to a table cloth, however they are more about decoration than function.
Table throws are different to both table runners and tablecloths as they are designed to cover the entire table, all the way down to the floor. By using a table throw, materials can be stored under the table and out of sight. A branded table throw will offer a professional look at a promotional event.
Do your table throws have the ability to stretch?
Apart from our stretch tablecloth the rest of our table cloths and runners are not designed to stretch. If you try to fit the table throw on a table that is a lot larger than the throw, this could cause damage.
What material is the table throw made of? Are there any other materials available?
The table throws are generally made from a lightweight and long-lasting 210gsm polyester material. This is a great material to use, both printed and unprinted, as it gives the table throws a professional and eye-catching look as well as being light weight.
What kind of printing process do you use for your table throws?
Unlike most companies, we print using 8 colour presses which means we can match the widest range of colours accurately to produce a much wider colour gamut than standard 4 colour CMYK printing. As with all Discount Displays printed products we provide a FREE artwork check before printing your tablecloth to ensure your graphics always look their best.
The printing process we use is dye sublimation. The dye sublimation process is the most used method of printing onto fabrics, because it is a cost effective way of producing stunning graphics that don't peel off.
Can I use table throws outdoors?
The table throws can be used outdoors, but we suggest only using them in calm weather conditions as heavy rain and high winds might damage it.
Will the design on my display fade over time? Is it able to be scratched off?
Due to the dye-sublimation and high-quality UV inks, this makes the design both fade and scratch-resistant.
How do I store my table throw?
When storing the table throw, we suggest folding it up neatly and placing it in a hard container out of harm’s way.
How do I clean my printed tablecloth.
Our exhibition tablecloths are designed to be dirt resistant so occasional brushing or a gentle hand vacuum will quickly remove most marks. If your tablecloth gets especially dirty, it can be machine washed on a gentle synthetics (30°c setting).
My cloth is wrinkled - how do I remove the wrinkles?
To remove wrinkles we suggest using a handheld steamer to remove them. Please do not use an iron as this could damage the table throw.
