The feather shape flag has some slack material however due to its shaping still has some tightness in the flag itself, additionally because of the shape the increase in the surface area means that there is more room for your custom design to be printed on for the same height flag comparatively. A rectangular flag typically will use a stiffer pole than both the teardrop and the feathered flags, which tend to use a more flexible and lighter weight pole. In terms of the flag, there is a much higher level of slack allowing the flag to move more in the wind. The surface area is also higher than both teardrop and feathered flag poles, meaning this will have the most surface area for your design in comparison to the same height of flag in the other shape options.
