What is Correx?
Correx is a corrugated plastic (polypropylene), and is also known as fluted plastic board. It is 4mm thick and doffers fantastic weatherproofing, while being lightweight and affordable.
What is the typical use for a Correx sign?
A Correx based sign is typically used for temporary signage options; such as construction signs, estate agents boards, and promotional signage since it is cost effective, lightweight, and can be used indoors or outdoors.
What mounting options are available?
We have several products that are designed to mount Correx signage available on our site, typically for use in soft ground; the most popular of which being our sign stand holder
. Usually though, customers will make holes in the corners of the Correx boards so they can be cable tied to fencing or nailed or screwed to a suitable surface. Mounting to plywood or MDF first is also a popular option as it increases the sturdiness of the fluted board. You can also use Velcro to attach the board due to its lightweight nature.
Are you able to print on both sides of the Correx?
Yes, we can, please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
What inks are used?
We use direct to panel UV printing with our state of the art HP flatbed Correx printing machine. This means your artwork won’t crack or peel unlike some of the boards on the market.
What sizes do you recommend I choose?
Our most popular sizes are the typical A sizes e.g A0, A1, A2 etc. Obviously the size you will need depends on the space and design you are working with, but our calculator allows that flexibility as you can choose a custom size.
If you are looking for something bigger we can print up to 10ft x 5ft boards, and you can always place multiple boards side by side to create huge display areas.
Can I order custom shaped Correx signs?
Yes. We offer cut to shape
4mm Correx signs too, which gives an excellent alternative to standard square cut.
How quickly can you deliver my sign?
We usually say to allow 2-5 working days after your artwork has been approved. We will check the artwork the same day as it is supplied, but if there are any issues, e.g it’s not good enough quality to print, this may cause delays. If you are working to a tight deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to meet this.
What is the expected life of a Correx sign?
Typically with good care and careful placement you can expect over 2 years of life. These signs are designed to be temporary in nature, however if stored well and cared for, they can be used multiple times and we have customers who have been using their signs for much longer and they still look in great condition. If you are looking for something to last longer we do offer more durable alternatives, such as Dibond aluminium
Do you offer discounts for trade quantities?
Yes, we do offer discounts for trade Correx printing. Our pricing will reflect this using the calculator; as the M² increases, the price per M² will decrease. If you would like to order a very large amount simply use the "request a quote" button to the right of the customer images.
Is Correx weather resistant?
Yes, they are made with a plastic material meaning they are suitable in wet weather conditions. Additionally, they are printed using UV resistant inks meaning they are fade resistant; extending the lifetime of the sign outdoors. That being said, they are not designed for extreme weather conditions, so use common sense when deciding when they may need to be taken inside.
